Limited Warranty

Bentz Transport Products Inc. (Bentz) makes the following limited product warranty subject to the conditions expressed below. No other warranties are expressed or implied. OEM parts and assemblies supplied by Bentz directly to an OEM are warranted under separate contractual agreement between Bentz and its OEM customer.

Materials and workmanship: Bentz warrants its products to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase, or eighteen (18) months from the date of original wholesale purchase, whichever is less.

Items excluded:

• Replaceable elements such as bulbs, batteries, fuses, keys, etc.
• Electrical and electronic components, including but not limited to, power inverters, generators, air conditioners, refrigerators, microwave and convection ovens, cooktops, water heaters, and audio and video components. These items are covered by the manufacturers’ warranties.
• Hitches for tow bodies are covered by their respective manufacturers’ warranties.
• Components, parts or materials supplied by customers.
• Paint is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

Labor: Bentz will make warranty repairs for the above products only at the Bentz facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. Bentz will provide labor for disassembly, removal and replacement of defective items or structural components during the applicable warranty period.

Third party repairs: Bentz will authorize certain qualified third party repairs only under the strict review, technical guidance, and cost control of Bentz. The approved third party repair facility must contact Bentz immediately by telephone to initiate the warranty claim process. The warranty claim must be submitted in writing with a detail of the defective issue, estimate of repair cost, including a breakdown of parts and labor, VIN number, mileage, Bentz model number and Bentz serial number. Authorization must be made by an authorized Bentz representative before repairs are attempted by the third party. Bentz will assign an RGA number and authorize a predetermined amount for the repairs. Under no circumstances will Bentz reimburse repairs that were not authorized by Bentz. Under no circumstances will Bentz pay for third party repairs by credit card or other advance methods. Payment will be made to the third party repair facility upon receipt of a detailed invoice supporting the warranty claim as originally authorized by Bentz. In addition, Bentz must receive all defective parts before payment will be made.

Unauthorized repairs or attempted repairs by anyone other than authorized Bentz factory personnel are not reimbursable under this limited warranty. Repairs or attempted repairs made by any third party, including those third party repairs authorized by Bentz but not performed by Bentz factory personnel, that may result in additional malfunctions or damage, and injury or death, are not covered by this limited warranty and are not covered by Bentz product liability insurance.

Other conditions and exclusions: This limited warranty is extended only to the original retail purchaser. A purchase receipt or other proof of original retail purchase will be required together with the product to obtain service under this limited warranty. This limited warranty shall not be extended to any other person or transferee.

This limited warranty is void and of no effect if any serial numbers on the product are altered, replaced, defaced or missing. This limited warranty does not apply to product purchased and used outside of the USA. This limited warranty only covers failures due to defects in material or workmanship that occur during normal use. It does not cover damage which occurs in shipment, or failures which are caused by repairs, alterations or product not supplied by Bentz, or damage which results from normal wear, accident, misuse, abuse, alteration, improper maintenance, or damage which results from fire, flood, lightening, or other acts of god.

Bentz and its representatives or agents shall in no event be liable for any general, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of or occasioned by the use of or the inability to use this product. Bentz and its representatives or agents shall in no event be liable for downtime or loss of revenue from the loss of use of the product.

This warranty is made in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, and of all other liabilities on the part of Bentz. All other warranties including the warranty of merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed by Bentz and its representatives in the USA.

This limited warranty is only valid and operable upon the return of the product at the purchaser's sole expense to the Bentz facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. When returning the product for service to the factory, please contact the Bentz customer service department prior to return with a written document detailing the defect in the product. Describe not only the defects in the product, but its defective operation. Include a copy of the bill of sale, purchase receipt or other proof of original retail purchase indicating the date of purchase. If no proof of purchase is attached to the written documentation detailing the defect, this warranty will not be honored and repair costs will be charged.

This limited warranty applies only to parts or components that are defective, and does not cover repairs necessary due to normal wear, misuse, accidents, abuse, alteration, acts of god, or lack of proper maintenance. Regular, routine maintenance of the unit to keep it in proper operating condition is the responsibility of the owner.

The remedies set forth in this limited warranty shall be the exclusive remedies available to any person. No person has any authority to bind the company to any representation or warranty other than this limited warranty. This limited warranty cannot be modified except by a written agreement signed by both parties to the limited warranty.

Important: Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply. This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights that may vary from state to state.

Optional Extended Limited Warranty

Optional Extended Warranty expands the Limited Warranty on the following items.

Bentz warrants its products to be free from manufacturing defects in workmanship or materials for a period of two (2) years from the date of original retail purchase, or three (3) years from the date of original wholesale purchase, whichever is less.
