Bentz is the authorized aftermarket supplier of the Multicab crew cab for Pierce Manufacturing. Pierce Manufacturing is the market leader in fire trucks. Pierce Manufacturing is headquartered in Appleton, Wisconsin (Pierce Manufacturing).
Bentz executed the design of Pierce Manufacturing’s concept in a cooperative design effort of a special raised-roof crew cab based on the Kenworth T370 medium duty truck (Kenworth Truck Company).
The special crew cab, proprietary to Pierce Manufacturing for fire apparatus applications, allows the pump operator to operate the pump from inside the cab while standing up inside the cab. The special crew cab features virtual 360-degree visibility with windows on all four sides. The commercial truck-based crew cab also holds six persons, a significant advantage over the industry-standard five person commercial crew cab. Two, large, low-side-entry doors provide easy ingress/egress.
Three Multicab configurations are available:
- Enclosed Top Mount Cab with enclosed top mount pump control panel opening in the upper back wall.
- Command Cab with solid back wall.
- Rescue Cab with a full-height, walk-thru cab entry opening in the back wall of the cab.
Bentz assembles the crew cab modification with complete interior trim at our facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Units are then transported to Pierce Manufacturing’s facility in Bradenton, Florida for upfit and completion.
