Bentz Transport Products Inc. began operation in January 1993.  Founded by my father, Richard Bentz, the company initially manufactured aftermarket sleeper cabs and stainless accessories for medium and heavy-duty trucks.  Over the past decade, we have expanded our product offerings to include highly engineered integrated sleepers, cab modifications and off-highway cabs.

Our goal is to provide products designed and manufactured to OEM standards while meeting unique applications.  These products must be reliable and durable, meet customer specifications and application requirements, and be delivered on time.In support of this goal, we continually drive improvement in design, manufacturing, customer service and quality processes.

We are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a city centrally located in the heart of the Great Lakes manufacturing region.  Fort Wayne is within four hours of cities including Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Toledo, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati and Louisville.  Our facility is within close proximity of I-69, I-469, U.S. 30, U.S. 24, I-80/90 toll road and I-75.

The Bentz name has been widely associated with truck sleeper cabs for many years and we are proud to serve a diverse customer base in the North American medium and heavy truck market.  I purchased the company from my father in March 2001.  The transition of the company ensures that the Bentz name and reputation for well-designed and reliable products will carry on for years to come.

In February 2003, we achieved ISO9001:2000 registration of our quality system.  This was a goal that we began pursuing in October 2002 with the creation of our quality system implementation team.  This was a significant milestone as it was the foundation of our company’s plans for growth.

During the past five years, we have broadened our product offerings and capabilities to include fully integrated crew cab and sleeper modifications, and off-highway cabs.  These products are highly complex, value-added assemblies with high levels of engineering and tooling requirements.

We have pursued a path of steady growth coupled with a diversification of our products and customer base while simultaneously adding to our engineering and manufacturing capabilities.  We are pleased that we are associated with customers that are leaders in their markets.
